Text to PDF

Most ways of getting formatted text into a PDF involve a detour: write it in Word or Google Docs, then "export" or "print to PDF" and hope the layout survives the trip. Editing a PDF directly is worse — tools like Adobe Acrobat treat a PDF as a fixed grid of positioned text boxes, so moving a sentence up half a line, changing a font, or adding a new paragraph in the middle means everything after it has to be manually nudged back into place.
